About Us

Westrucks Services Limited, a haulage and logistics company based in Ghana and head quartered in Takoradi, the western part of Ghana. We are located at Effia, about 600 metres away from Takoradi Technical University (TTU) formerly T-Poly with GPS coordinates of (WS-199-0060). We offer domestic, interstate and international (cross border) classic road freight services supporting the logistics sector in the Mining, Construction and Agricultural industry.

Mr. Godfred Kofi Teledzi is the founder and CEO of Westrucks Logistics and Maintenance Group. A seasoned Ghanaian professional, he began his career as a mining maintenance engineer and boasts over 20 years of experience in the mining and construction industries, particularly in support services.

Mr. Teledzi received his training with MANTRAC, formerly Tractor and Equipment and has worked as an expatriate with various prominent mining and construction organizations in Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, DR Congo, Burkina Faso and other countries. His extensive training and experience in handling dangerous goods, health, safety, and environment (HSE), and logistics have equipped him with comprehensive industry expertise.

Recognizing the need for enhanced logistics services in Takoradi and Ghana as a whole, Mr. Teledzi established Westrucks Logistics and Maintenance Group. His vision is to address the logistics needs of the mining, construction, and agricultural sectors, particularly in the hinterlands, Sahel region, and landlocked countries. By leveraging the strategic locations of Takoradi and Tema, with their airports and harbors, Westrucks aims to bridge the logistics service gap in Ghana and beyond.

Westrucks Services was established in 2009 as a sole proprietor and upgraded to become a Limited Liability Company with a haulage record of Zero Lost Time Injury (0-LTI) per our safety and training standards.

What We Do

Fleet

Westucks Services operates and manages 45 vehicles which include:

Flat beds trailers (45feet).
Bulk tankers for powdered materials (cement, limestone product etc).
Short flat beds rigid trucks (20feets).
Wheel Loader/Forklift – Volvo L90 Series intergrated tooling combined.

Workshop

Fleet Maintenance

In addition, Westrucks Services has its Central Maintenance Workshop and Garage set up with seasoned and experienced maintenance team located in Takoradi with (ws-199-0060) coordinates near the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) which offers quality maintenance services to support our general fleet of trucks and other equipment and extends services to other external haulage company vehicles with in the district.

Our workshop activities include:

Maintenance planning, budgeting and repair cost analysis
Scheduled preventive maintenance services, Engine and Gear boxes troubleshooting and related problems with Service Diagnostics and Calibrations.
Engine and Transmission overhauls.
Body repair, welding, straightening and panel beating.
General truck, trailer rebuilds and spray painting.
Vulcanizing and tire management (front wheel steering alignment, tire thread monitoring)
Stocking of spare parts for fleet support and supply to other clients.

Dispatch Control

Westrucks has a Central Dispatch Control section which in collaboration with the Workshop Planning section handles all vehicle movements by:

Allocation of trucks to various destinations.
Monitor all truck locations and movements, speed control by tracking devices.
Giving updates on deliveries of consignment to client.
Communication on vehicle down-times, breakdown of haulage vehicles and recording deliveries made to clients.
